Happy Friday! We had to take a step back and slow down this week due to so many students being absent, but we made good use of our time. Hopefully everyone will be back and healthy next week!
In ELA, we finished writing our book review essays. This is our last big writing of the year and students did a good job. We have also spent some time practicing figurative language and using context clues. Next week we will begin the next module, which is all about water as a resource. We will be continuing to review in small group.
We started time this week in math. We have learned how to tell time to the nearest minute. We also spent time reviewing area, perimeter, and geometry. Next week we will explore elapsed time and review addition and subtraction.
In science we explored all the types of water bodies on earth, including saltwater, freshwater, and brackish water. Next week we will begin exploring the individual landforms.
