Happy Spring Break! We ended the week with a field trip to Mordecai House and the Baucom Marathon-what a way to go out! :)
In ELA this week we continued reading from Peter Pan and Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens. We are working on finding meanings of unknown words, summarizing, comparing/contrasting stories, and analyzing structure. We will finish up both stories when we come back from break. We will then move on to writing a book review of Peter Pan.
In math we explored comparing fractions all week. We learned different strategies to help us compare, including rules about common numerators and denominators. We will explore fractions greater than 1 when we return from break. We will wrap up unit by the end of the week.
We began learning all about Earth's landforms and bodies of water this week in science. We learned about the continents and oceans and began exploring fresh bodies of water. We will continue to learn about fresh and salt water bodies when we return.
